- Reactive oxygen species are important in wound healing process. However excess of reactive oxygen may cause the death of cells. Therefore it is important to introduce reactive oxygen species in a controlled manner.

- Naphthalene based molecules are used to store singlet oxygens. Hence MOFs can be synthesized using naphthalene based ligands in order to store singlet oxygen.
